A long over due drifting event held by the Drift World Order. Aside from the pro’s heating up the Larry Gomes Stadium, they also took the time to teach a few beginners how to slide their machines. According to DWO themselves this was a “tyre-shredding, eye-watering, nasal clogging, adrenaline pumping, cloud-ban creating good time“
This was Solodex 6, CARS’ final event for 2009… along with a Championship Suzuki Swift Shootout. Stay tuned in for 2010 solodex action!
Another solodex event but this time a BYCC . Didn’t plan to attend this, but I just ended up here. Hot hot hot sun right through and plenty rubber burning. Very funny sight to see all the performance cars parked up to watch the slower cars run the course.. and another note to them fellas outside the venue doing burnouts and donuts, why not come on the course and do it so i can take your pic?
Another action packed day at ARC thanks to CarsTT. Rain fell, but that only made things a whole lot more exciting. The high powered cars had a hard time keeping it straight on the tarmac, even with their AWD system. Hardly any power house RWD vehicles were there, if not none at all.. else who knows what the day would’ve been like.
The launch of a new competitive motor oil on the Trinidad market….Eneos fully synthetic motor oil. I missed the actual press launch of the product, but made it for the Solodex event. The wonderful girls were there, as promised, in their ‘hard to miss’ orange tops. It was safe to say that the photographers were unable to shoot the car-action, as the ladies basically pulled our attention for the day. Fellow photographer, Devi (www.devinath.com) almost ended up with 0 motorsport pics and 1000 Eneos Girls pics.

TTASA made use of the roads just outside the Camden airstrip to stage a circuit/ time attack event. Street cars, circuit cars and rally cars took part in this first time event.
The final leg of the 2008 Caribbean Championship at Guyana’s South Dakota Circuit saw a close battle between the top 10 contenders and anyone was able to emerge victorious. The quality, performance and technology of the machines competing this year in this championship were phenomenal and we had an opportunity to see all this unleashed resulting is some fantastic racing. A second attempt by TTASA to have a circuit event at Camden proved again that the runway really is a bit too narrow for corners. However despite that and the gravel sections, a few 4 and 5 car races were run and even the drift crew took a try at the tight ciruit course made up of mainly safety cones.
Red Bull took over ARC car park on Sunday for the T&T finale of the Chris Pfeiffer Street Tour. The arena showcased the best of the our local flatland talent and Chris wowed the crowd with his unbelievable tricks and deftly executed stunts. (literature courtesy www.trinituner.com)
