Sections included: The Way of the Warrior: Mayan Eagle, Persian Gold, Knights Templar, Massia Tribal Warriors, Mongol Fighters, Iroquois, Sashura, Xi’an Warriors, Artic Warriors, Amazons & Gladiators! And it’s here again, Trinidad & Tobago’s Fashion Week with their third installment at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. The top local designers displaying their high fashion work on the runway, and also a special guest appearance from the Prime Minister, Kamla Bissessar. What a historic night for T&T!
A high-classed fashion show hosted by Calvin French, and held at the Carlton Savannah Hotel. Great evening of fashion and models from the hottest designers with a beautiful pool-side ambiance. From a photography standpoint, I particularly liked how the black and whites turned out.
Trinidad & Tobago’s Carnival Mas finally arrived for the year 2010, and what a carnival it was! The Port of Spain streets were jam packed with spectators, masqueraders, bright lively colors and palancers. Check out my massive coverage of photos through my eyes.
TT N1 DC, meaning Trinidad & Tobago’s Number One Dance Crew… a competition showcasing some of the hottest crews battling it out head to head, especially with this being the Finals. With crews such as Blackout, Ambassador, Defcon and more… and Blackout being my personal favorite… their style is off da chain yo!
A night of fashion and performing arts, held at the Zen night club. Featuring fashion from Converse and some of T&T’s hot dance groups. All the proceeds for this event went to charity for kids… so it was a win win situation for everyone.
It was back at Aura for Carnival Genesis‘ presentation entitled, The Desert.
The Dream Team Carnival Events Committee presented the launch of their presentation Gems of the World for T&T Carnival. The Trinidad and Tobago Facebook Models Committee members+ The Trinidad and Tobago Facebook Models Girls Squad + Friends & The Hot Gossip Crew were there, as well as the T&T Deligates for Miss World 2009.
Pulse8′s bandlaunch @ Aura. Are you ready to escape to the pacific where the culture will come alive? With colorful leis, potent maitais and hula girls swaying their hips to the calypso beat. I know I was definitely ready when they started ‘pelting waist in my face‘. Check the photos below for hip swaying and waist throwing action. 
‘An enigma of style.. let your curiosity guide you.’ A fashion show event held at the University of the West Indies, and what a show it was. Great entertainment and lots of laughs from the hosts of Synergy, they really kept the show alive and pumping. Even Shurwayne Winchester was there to grace the stage with a performance. Also, designer clothing from Bang Bang and Dexter Jennings just to name a few.
Spice Carnival was routed to south @ Prive Night Club, where they was a small display of what the Spice Route had to offer. With sections such as Mediterranean Borage, Cardamom, Brown Sugar, Garden of Sage, Scotch Bonnet and much more.
Ronnie & Caro The Mas Band launched their carnival 2010 band, ‘Tribute’. Tribute will honour the men whose dedication to the mas form has made Carnival what it is today, the ‘greats’ who stepped into our history and took Carnival from the days of mas on the truck, to the streets. Their sections included, Africa, Wonders of the Bucco Reef, Fun Lovers, City of Gold, Humming Bird, Saucy in the Marketplace, Fancy Sailor, We Kinda People and Fire Bird. Red Runway’s second fashion show event, this time held at the Minshell Mas Camp, Chagaramas. The models graced the “plank” strutting their stuff. However there was nothing ‘red’ at this event, no red carpet not even a red ‘woodway’. The surroundings could have been more decorative as well as some more lights, afterall the main event is a fashion show, not an ole fete. Despite that, it was a great night as i met a certain person, who knows themself and I was told the white pants was tight.. see FB for details.
